What does a confidential contact person do?

A Confidential Contact Person (VCP) is someone who you can talk to when you or someone you know is experiencing or has experienced unwanted or unacceptable behaviour. Unwanted or unacceptable behaviour can take many forms, like discrimination, bullying, (sexual) harassment, threats, stalking or gossiping, both online and offline. Even if it is very subtle, unwanted or unacceptable behaviour can still have a great impact on your feeling of safety and your pleasure in exercising.

A VCP will help you to work out a strategy best suited to you and your situation. When you come and talk to a VCP you are the boss. We are here to help you work out a strategy but we can and will not act without your knowledge. And of course, everything you tell us is confidential.

Confidential contact persons of WAF

WAF has her own 2 Confidential Contact Persons that you can approach when you want to talk about something that is happening or has happened. This can be WAF/ frisbee related but does not have to be. It is important to note that our Confidential Contact Persons are not trained. We however do think that it is sometimes easier to approach someone from our association! If you want more professional help than feel free to contact het Confidential Contact Person of Thymos, The Bongerd or the University. These people are trained to help you the best way possible!

Jasmijn Kamerbeek

Hey, I’m Jasmijn, 19 years old and a member of WAF since 2024. I have played ultimate frisbee for 10 years and wanted to continue playing when I started studying in Wageningen, so I joined WAF! I am very social and like to talk with other people about their experiences at WAF or about other things. I am almost always at practice, so you can come up to me during practice or reach out to me if you ever want to talk.

Ward in 't Veld

Hey I’m Ward, 22 years old and a member of WAF since 2020. I am a quite sportive chap, because I also like to cycle, run and swim in my free time. I love to get involved with WAF and am part of multiple commitees. I am present at most trainings and I like to listen to any feelings that may have occured during training or related to WAF otherwise. You can also always reach out to me outside of training times!
