Last Sunday the Mixed competition started again! A WAF team consisting of players with different experience levels traveled to Arnhem to play their first of three competition days. For most of us it was the first real match again after summer break, which made it even more exciting!
It was a lovely sunny day, but also a little windy sometimes. Especially in the beginning it was noticeable that everyone still had to get used to each other. But this didn’t make it less fun!
The first game of the day was against Airborn. We didn’t manage to win, but it was a nice game in which everyone gave their all. A good one to start the day with!
The second game was against Vertigo. This game was very tight and everyone really went for it till the end. There were some good matchups, which made it very challenging. The game was very close, but we eventually won on universe!
The third game, against BFrisbee2’s, began very hard. We were a number of points behind but we didn’t give up. We made a huge comeback, but unfortunately still lost the game.
We ended the day with a draw against Discover! This game was very exciting. We always enjoy playing against the other association from Wageningen, which makes it even more fun and challenging.
In the end, everyone was very happy about how it went. We developed ourselves a lot during the day and we grew more together as a team. We are really looking forward to smash the next competition day!!
